Designed around two monophonic preamplifiers brought together in the same box, our Px1 stereophonic preamplifier can be described as a true dual mono, two EI type transformers, shielded by means of mumetal plates, an expensive but very effective solution.

The PX-1 is the “nerve” center of your high fidelity system. Although sound quality was our first priority, we wanted our preamplifier to be suitable for all current sources, analog, digital, dematerialized or physical.

Nothing has been forgotten, each entry has been refined with the ultimate goal of obtaining a musical reproduction at the best level. The PX-1 thus has nine analog inputs, including a balanced input and a configurable MM or MC double-level phono input. The adjustment of the capacitance of the phono cell is configurable. On the digital side, the PX-1 is not to be outdone, it has three digital optical inputs, a coaxial digital input, a USB B input (asynchronous XMOS) as well as a USB A. The conversion of digital signals is ensured by the famous Wolfson WM8740 converter.

These digital inputs are complemented by a proprietary port allowing you to connect the X-FTB01 and X-FTB02 Bluetooth adapter .

The signal processing is the most direct (direct path) possible so that its original quality is not altered. The PX-1's interactive menu offers you two modes of use, "Class A" mode or discrete mode. The "Class A" output is based on a circuit based on bipolar transistors only, in a "double cascode" type assembly offering performance in terms of distortion gradient close to a tube assembly, therefore very homogeneous and polarized in Class A, the "discrete" output is a stage based on a more classic typology based on a differential stage JFET input and bipolar current mirror with a polarized output in class AB, more prone to distortion in odd harmonics sometimes less appreciated "at the ear", but sometimes also felt as more defined.

The use of the PX-1 is particularly easy thanks to a single rotary button with push for the validation of a choice offers access to input selection, volume adjustments, bass and treble tones, balance, loudness, disabling automatic shutdown after 30 minutes of inactivity. Finally, on the output side, your PX-1 is as complete as on the input side: one balanced (XLR), one unbalanced (Cinch), one recording (Rec Out), one high-pass output and two sub-bass outputs.

Finally, the icing on the cake, the designers have not forgotten the aficionados of listening to headphones by integrating, under the device, a double independent adjustment for two headphones of gain +6.0, -4dB and output impedance 0 or 100Ω.
